This was our second time at the Diner Station. The first time we went there was in September, during the Urban Point’s burger month. At that time, to be frank, we just wanted to avail the ‘buy one, get one free’ offer at a place that we hadn’t tried before. Fortunately, that experience went pretty good.
Since then we had been thinking to visit the place another time to try other dishes as well. So, finally, last week, we headed to Diner Station once again. It was quite late at night, so the place was not very busy. We were quite impressed by the whole outlook of the place. We so wanted to try their corner table, which looked more like a cozy cabin. When we got closer to it, only then we realized that it was imitated as a lift!
After being seated, we were served nachos and heavenly welcome drinks. The drinks were actually very welcoming! We loved the taste of raspberries with a hint of pineapple.
Although they had a lot of burger and slider options in the menu, but as we had tried them earlier, we wanted to try something entirely different this time. So, we ordered Ascensor Pizza, Classic Pizza, Hammour Grenoble Crumble and Chicken A La Kive.
We were really hungry so we asked them to bring in whatever gets done first. To our surprise the pizzas came in within five minutes or so. Oh boy they were amazing or what! We loved both the pizzas. The Ascensor Pizza contained turkey with bolognaise sauce and mozzarella cheese on top. We fell in love with the soft gooey crust. The fresh basil leaves on the top were like a cherry on the cake. It was hands down one of the best pizzas we have had in the past couple of months. Same was the case with the Classic Pizza. Although, it tasted more like Margarita Pizza, as we had asked them not to put Pepperoni in it. But no doubt it was equally amazing.
Well the wait for other dishes was too long! But it was worth it. The remaining order came after 20-25 minutes, and that too after a few reminders. Hammour Grenoble Crumble was sautéed fish with a scrumptious sauce, garnished with sliced almonds. It was served with lemon butter and French fries. Every single thing on the plate complemented each other very well.
Chicken A La Kive was good too. It wasn’t oily or heavy, was served with French fries, baby vegetables and cheddar sauce.
According to us the place is not too pricey. Also the portion sizes may be small for some but for us they were perfectly fine.
So long story short, we had an amazing second time experience at Diner Station. Will definitely go back again soon and will recommend it to others as well.
