Tonight we went to Biella, The Mall, for dinner. We were welcomed by the courteous staff, and were escorted to our corner table. The place was not very crowded, rather it was quite peaceful.
Fresh bread with butter, olive oil and balsamic vinegar was served. The bread was really fresh and soft.
We ordered Pantelleria, Monterosso and Giallomango for drinks. Our favorite drink out of the lot was Giallomango. It is a creamy tango of mango, pineapple juice and coconut cream. Pantelleria, a refreshing cocktail with fresh chunks of pineapple muddled with mint sprigs and castor sugar topped with lemonade, was good too. Monterosso, a cocktail with fresh strawberries, mint leaves and lime wedges, was a bit too sweet for our liking.
As we were really hungry, we skipped the starters and ordered mains directly. The food came in really quick. Everything was piping hot and very fresh.
Alfredo Penne Pasta: The penne pasta was cooked well. The sauce tasted great too. But the chicken was really tough, it was a bit over-cooked may be.
Ravioli Di Pollo In Salsa Panna E Funghi: Actually we wanted to have Risotto but we were told that it wasn’t available, due to which we ordered this dish. And we are glad we did! It is a homemade stewed chicken ravioli in a creamy mushroom sauce. Everything on the plate complimented each other very well. Seasonings were adequate too. It was gone in minutes.
Pasticcio De Lasagna Alla Bolognese: This is a traditionally baked lasagna pasta, layered with beef bolognese sauce and creamy bechamelle sauce. This was undoubtedly the dish of the night! The beef was juicy, sauce was authentic and the pasta was cooked to perfection. We really enjoyed it.
For desserts we had Tiramisu and Baked Vanilla Ricotta Cheesecake. The desserts were just like the cherry on the cake. Both the desserts were well presented and tasted very good too. We liked both of them.
Our experience at Biella was great. The service was very good. Shout out to our servers John and Peter who looked after us really well. All the food was fresh and came in quick. In our opinion the prices for desserts were a bit high. While the mains were adequately priced according to the serving size. We used our entertainer voucher, due to which the lowest priced main item was deducted from the total bill.
